Copyright and DMCA policy for SrikalahastiTemple.org.in. How we use temple images and quoted information, and how to ask us to remove content you own.
SrikalahastiTemple.org.in is an independent informational guide for pilgrims. We are not the official website of Sri Kalahasteeswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam, the Andhra Pradesh Endowments Department, TTD, or any government body. See About This Website.
We respect the rights of photographers, writers, temple authorities and government bodies, and we expect the same respect for our own work. This page explains both sides plainly.
📜 Content We Own
Unless stated otherwise on the page itself, the written guides, page layouts, comparison tables, travel directions and original photographs on this website are our own work and are protected by copyright.
You are welcome to:
- Link to any page on this site, from anywhere, without asking us.
- Quote a short passage — a sentence or two — provided you credit SrikalahastiTemple.org.in and link to the page you took it from.
- Share our pages on WhatsApp, social media or in pilgrim groups.
Please do not:
- Republish whole pages, or large parts of them, on another website.
- Present our guides as your own work, or as the official temple’s information.
- Use our content to create a website that appears to be the official Devasthanam.
🖼️ Images, Timings and Official Information
Some material on this site did not originate with us, and we do not claim ownership of it:
- Temple photographs. Images of the temple, its gopuram, deities and surroundings may come from public sources or contributors. Where we know the source, we credit it.
- Darshan timings, seva lists, ticket prices and official notices. These are facts published by the temple administration and government portals. Facts themselves are not owned by anyone, but the wording of an official notice may be. We summarise rather than copy, and we link to the official source.
- The temple’s name, emblem and any official seal. These belong to the Devasthanam and the Endowments Department. We do not claim any right to them and we do not use them as our own identity.
If you are the owner of any photograph or text on this site and we have used it without proper permission or credit, tell us and we will fix it. We would rather correct it quickly than argue about it.
⚖️ Asking Us to Remove Something (Takedown Notice)
If you believe material on this website infringes your copyright, send us a notice containing all of the following:
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A clear description of the work you say has been infringed — for a photograph, where it was first published; for text, the original page or publication.
- The exact web address (URL) on our site where the material appears, and enough detail for us to find it on the page.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send it to: info@srikalahastitemple.org.in, or through our Contact page. Please put “Copyright Notice” in the subject line.
An incomplete notice slows everything down. If any of the six items above is missing, we may have to come back to you before we can act.
⏱️ What Happens Next
- We aim to acknowledge your notice within 72 hours.
- If the claim is clear, we normally remove or replace the material straight away, before any discussion about who is right. Taking a photograph down costs us nothing; leaving it up costs you something.
- We will tell you what we did.
- If the material was supplied by a contributor, we will let them know it was removed and why.
↩️ If You Think We Removed Something Wrongly
If your material was taken down and you believe that was a mistake — for example, the work is yours, or your use of it was licensed or permitted — write to us with your name, contact details, the URL that was affected, and why you believe the removal was wrong. We will look at it again and restore the material if the objection does not hold up.
🔁 Repeat Infringement
We do not accept guest posts or user uploads. In the rare case that a contributor supplies material that infringes someone’s rights more than once, we stop accepting material from them.
🏛️ A Note for Temple and Government Authorities
If you represent Sri Kalahasteeswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam, the Andhra Pradesh Endowments Department, or any related authority, and you want a photograph, a notice, or any information about the temple corrected or removed from this site, you do not need to send a formal legal notice. Write to us and tell us what is wrong. We will correct it.
We also welcome corrections to darshan timings, seva rates and booking information — being accurate for pilgrims is the entire purpose of this website.
